Evening Hike at Castlewood State Park

We will hike the Grotpeter trail using connector trails to modify the distance to fit our 8 pm sunset time . This trail is shared with foot traffic and mountain bikers. The trail is well shaded. Castlewood State Park is a very popular destination for hiking and is typically very busy on the weekends. The Sierra Club has worked with park staff for several years on various projects in this park. By participating on this hike, we hope that you will have a better understanding of how this stewardship has benefited the park and ultimately all who visit.
