Big Horn Peak Hike
Wednesday September 24 at 7:00 AM  
This will be a strenuous hike up Ice House Canyon into the Cucamonga Wilderness to the top of Bighorn Peak (elevation 8,441 ft), 11 miles round trip with 3400 ft. elevation gain.  We will meet in the Icehouse Canyon parking lot. The trail follows the creek for the first mile under a canopy of oak, maple, alder, cedar, and pine.  Scenic view from the top of Bighorn Peak.  This hike counts towards the "Peaks of the Cucamonga Wilderness Patch" for hiking the 7 tallest peaks in the Cucamonga Wilderness.  Adventure Pass required if parking your car at trailhead.  Rain cancels.  BRING: sturdy boots, 3 liters water, snack, lunch, and sunscreen.  ADVENTURE PASS REQUIRED FOR PARKING AT THE TRAILHEAD.   LEADER: John St. Clair, 909-983-8501, sierraclubjohn@stclairs.us  LOS SERRANOS GROUP
