Cookies and Conversation: Let's Talk Clean Energy
We'll talk about why utility scale wind and solar energy projects are being proposed in downstate Illinois.  We'll also dig into some common concerns and questions, such as land use, safety and safeguards for the environment, and explore how communities can put themselves in a position to  benefit from these projects.  
 
The presenter is Cindy Shepherd, Energy Builder Director for Faith in Place. Her focus is on making sure communities understand AND SHARE in the benefits of clean energy projects. Faith in Place in an interfaith organization that champions justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, and works for lasting change for those most impacted by environmental injustice. 
 
Location and Time: Universalist Unitarian Church, 3000 W. Richwoods Blvd.
Doors Open at 6:00; Meeting starts at 6:30.
