Richmond FOJG Hike along the James River

We will hike up to 4 miles, starting at the 22nd St Parking Lot off of Riverside Drive (parking lot of the James River Park). We will take the Buttermilk Trail, cross over the dry rocks to Belle Isle, hike around Belle Isle, and cross the pedestrian bridge over the James River to the north shore. We will walk past Tredegar Iron Works/National Civil War Museum to Brown Island, cross the river again on the Potterfield Bridge, and return to our starting point walking along the south shore and Buttermilk Trail.

Bridge

Cost: Free

Signup Instructions: 10 people is the limit for sign up for the hike.

Bring: Water bottle, tennis shoes, bug spray, and snack/lunch.

Cancellation Policy: If rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled.
