Free Community Gear Swap. Free Workshops. Educational Outreach from Community
Organizations. Food. Music. Fun. Vibeeesssss.
We’re on a mission to make the outdoors accessible to all through exercising sustainable practices, breaking down the barriers to gear, and cultivating community. ♻️🌿 In 2021, a group of community volunteers put together a gear swap event that was hosted in collaboration with the Nature for All Stewards, Latino Outdoors, and the Sierra Club, where over 70 participants gathered for a day of FREE swapping fun. 🎊Two years later, we’re thrilled to bring back this community Gear Swap. We invite you to join us on our second FREE ‘One Stop Gear Swap.’
🙌It is up to us to create the outdoor space we need, desire, and deserve. Our ‘One Stop Gear Swap’ is a space where all are welcome. As a group of individuals and volunteers who are passionate about environmental social justice, outdoor access, and intersectional environmentalism, we are proud to create community events and spaces like these. If you care about similar causes, we hope that you can be a part of this event. Help us spread the word, bring your gear, and expect some good vibes:)

What to Expect!
- ♻️ Sustainable Swaps: Spring cleaning season is here! Bring your lightly-used outdoor gear and clothing to swap out. By swapping gear, we're reducing waste and taking a step towards a more sustainable outdoor lifestyle. Mother Nature needs more friends!
- 🌿 Discover New Adventures: Find quality, FREE gear without the hefty price tag. It's the perfect chance to kickstart your outdoor journey or upgrade your equipment.
- 🙌 Inclusivity & Community: We're on a mission to ensure that everyone feels at home in the outdoors. Connect with new friends who share your love for nature. Let's create a more inclusive outdoor community together.
- 🌞 Empowerment through Education: Engage in discussions about outdoor activities, sustainable practices, and accessibility. We have invited several BIPOC outdoor and nature organizations to join us to table, speak about their work and recreational opportunities, and inform you on how you can get involved! Our workshop leaders will be available to provide guidance, share knowledge, and answer your questions.
*Unfortunately, our fur children (dogs, cats, etc) are not welcome to this event as Debs Center is home to our wild kin like coyotes, bobcats, and other wildlife. We must also respect their space and habitat.
