5-mile, moderate hike. This trail is on rolling terrain winds through the lush forests and open meadows of Sweet Run State Park, passing the remnants of a 19^th-century farming community, including historic structures and Wortman Pond. There is a $10/car entry fee to the state park (or a VA park pass).

Level: Moderate

Cost: Free, but donations welcome

Signup Instructions: register here and e-sign the required waiver form.

Bring: Water and a snack. Wear shoes appropriate for walking on uneven ground and varying terrain. Walking sticks or poles may be helpful. Dress in layers for varying temperatures.
