Join Sierra Club Connecticut and State Representative Jonathan Steinberg for a community walk at Earthplace that blends nature, conversation, and action. We’ll take a short, accessible walk (about 1 mile), explore the local ecology, discuss important environmental issues and legislation, and pick up trash along the way to help keep the preserve clean.

We recommend bringing gloves and a bag if you’d like to help with the cleanup. Also, please bring water to stay hydrated.

Along the way, we’ll offer a brief introduction to iNaturalist, a free app that allows you to record and share observations of local plants and animals to help build a global biodiversity database. The iNaturalist portion is completely optional,  this event is open to all experience levels. Whether you're interested in citizen science or want to enjoy a walk and connect with your legislator, you're welcome to join!
