Join us for this 15 day 14 night sun and moon adventure with a tour of places in Central Spain.  This tour will take you to 13 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  Our trip starts in Barcelona where we will see some of Antoni Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces including the Sagrada Familia, Palau Guell, Parc Guell, and Casa Vicens, all UNESCO sites.  We’ll also visit the Poble Espanyol, Catalonia National Museum of Art, the Gothic quarter along with other Barcelona sites.  

Go back in history when we visit the small medieval villages of Besalu, Peratallada and Pals.  After we leave Barcelona, you will see the Royal Abbey of Santa Maria de Poblet a UNESCO world heritage site. In Zaragoza we will visit the beautiful Cathedral, Roman walls, and the historic Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar.  

We will see the eclipse in Burgos and also the great Cathedral, a UNESCO site, the Museum of Human evolution that has some of the most important early human fossils, and the Burgos Museum.  We’ll briefly stop in Leon to see the beautiful Cathedral and historic San Isidoro Basilica & Royal Pantheon.  Visit another Gaudi designed building, the Palacio Episcopal in Astorga.  

We will do a walking tour of Old Salamanca to see the Palacio de Monterrey and many other historic buildings.  See the Avila Cathedral & Basilica de San Vicente and some of the walls of this historic walled city which has two UNESCO sites.  We will see the famous Roman Aqueduct in Segovia, the Segovia Museum, Cathedral, old city walls and walk part of the old town which has two UNESCO world heritage sites.  Visit El Escorial a historical residence and palace of the king of Spain, also a UNESCO site. 

We will travel to the UNESCO world heritage site of Toledo visiting the Alcazar, Cathedral Museum of El Greco, walking tour of the old city and a couple of synagogues.  We will see in Madrid the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and much more.  All hotels on the trip are four or five stars.
