Join the newly created Fairfield County Team on a private tour of Manresa Wilds in Norwalk! This is an opportunity to learn more about this project and the efforts being made to connect Norwalk to the waterfront.

Manresa Wild is a privately owned property that's currently in the process of being developed into a publicly accessible park. It sits on the site of a decommissioned power plant. Manresa Wilds Corporation plans on turning the former plant into a usable space for the public and the grounds into wild spaces and accessible trails.

Tour Details:
This is a decommissioned, contaminated power plant site, so no one under the age of 18 is allowed on site whatsoever. Additionally, the site is not ADA compliant at this time. The tour will be approximately 90 minutes and include an extensive walk through out the office wing, turbine hall, and boiler building—totaling approximately 500 stairs (including up and down to the roof). Please note that some of the stairs are open-style metal grates, and there are no elevators at this time.

Depending on the number of attendees on the tour, we'll also explore the water’s edge by UTV or by foot. If we go by foot it'll be a 10-15 minute walk from the building to the site of the future beach.

What to Wear:
Closed-toed, laced, flat shoes are required. It's breezy on the water, so please dress appropriately for the weather. As with much of New England, ticks may be present on-site, so we recommend wearing pants and socks.

Please remember:
Each individual must review and sign the required liability form for the tour.
Dogs are not permitted for this visit. Visitors must be 18 years or older.
