Immigrant Justice as a Climate Justice Issue

The Washington Sierra Club stands in solidarity with the Washington immigrant rights community against the Trump anti-immigrant and anti-environment agenda. We recognize the connections between climate disruption and migration and commit to fight alongside the Immigrant community against mass detention and deportation of immigrants.

On Tues Dec 16 we'll learn about and discuss the links between climate change and migration, and opportunities to stand with immigrants in Washington State.

Sierra Club Washington Chapter

I've been a Sierra Club member for many years, and with S. Sound SC for about 10-ish. My passion is equitable access to outdoor spaces, which I see as part of environmental justice. It's important to me to highlight the connection between the 'isms.'

I’ve been a member of the Sierra Club for many years, helped start the Equity and Justice Committee, and just finished 3 years on the ExCom. I’m passionate about climate and racial justice, and love that the Sierra Club is addressing immigrant justice as a climate justice issue.
