GHG emissions continue to rise. Temperatures are rising. Weather is
chaotic. Lands masses are drying out. Water stress is everywhere.
Oceans are warming. Biodiversity is crashing. Corals are first to have
passed a tipping point. Yet most of our efforts, valuable as they are,
are missing the most important lever for cooling the planet.
We will explore the crucial role of the biotic pump in cooling the
planet, rehabilitating air quality, and approaches to restoring
degraded lands, watersheds and water cycles. We will consider
what’s needed globally and propose solutions for the San Diego
bioregion, watersheds and coastal zone. Expanding green lands and
regenerative agriculture can reverse polar ice cap melting.
We will consider key actions needed to heal our planet!
