One each day, both leaving from Tahoe Meadows off the Mt Rose highway. These are fair weather
tours. Foul weather or unstable snowpack will result in an alternate itinerary.
Saturday 28 Feb 2026. Difficulty: Advanced
Ski from Tahoe Meadows to Brockway Summit, along the ridge up and over peaks with routine views

Ski from Tahoe Meadows to one of Houghton Peak or Mt Rose
Tour - Mount Houghton DirectTour - Mount RoseThese are 2 individual day trips. There is no housing associated with these trips.
We will need to carpool from the start to finish. This driving is not part of the trip and participants are expected to self-organize and accept all liability for the driving portion.
Level: Strenuous (STS Advanced)
Cost: None
Signup Instructions: RSVP on this site. Email leader with questions.
Bring: Avalanche safety equipment required (beacon, shovel, probe).
Signup Restrictions: All participants required to meet the STS skills for advanced trips.
Additional Directions: Leader will contact participant to assess required experience and gear, confirm trip acceptance
Carpool: Trailheads car shuttle prior to trip start
Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
Cancellation Policy: Trip cancels under stormy weather. Trip cancels or reroutes with level 3 (considerable) avalanche danger forecast.
