The Harvey Broome Group cordially invites you to the Chapter’s Spring Retreat May 1-3, 2026, at beautiful Fall Creek Falls State Park (FCFSP). With over 30,000 acres and many waterfalls, cascades, gorges, caves, a lake, and extensive forests (including some stands of virgin timber), there is a plethora of outdoor opportunities. There will also be a great display of spring wildflowers, ferns, and flowering shrubs, and the migrant birds will be back in the woods! Fall Creek Lake and Cane Creek offer opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming. You can bring your own paddle craft or rent one from the park boat dock.
Enjoy the company of other nature lovers for hikes, great food, live music, and most importantly, planning for our environmental protection activities. Details of specific planning activities will be provided later. As always, the retreat will be a special time that truly reflects the Sierra Club mission to Explore, Enjoy, and Protect! We will do our best to make this a Zero Waste Event. There will be composting and recycling stations in the group dining area.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Stay with the group in Newton Ford Bunk Lodge, rent a park cabin or a room at the park hotel, or camp in your tent or RV. If you want to reserve accommodations other than the group lodge bunkhouse, ACT IMMEDIATELY — they fill up far in advance!
