O: Red Box to Strawberry Potrero
O: Join us on this beautiful hike to three small meadows close below the north cliff of Strawberry Peak. The trail is old and little travelled and winds through a variety of dense chaparral. There is also big cone Spruce, Jeffrey and Colter pine. Under the granite cliffs seep springs of cold water into these green meadows. We will have lunch in one of the meadows and then return the way we came. Totals for the day will be 10 miles r/t and 2200' elevation gain. Most of the gain is on the return. This is a back country hike, and a filled out medical form is required. (https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt)
