On Sunday morning, after arriving on the first ferry to Angel Island, we will slowly hike around the island with packs, stopping to visit the Immigration Station, Fort McDowell, Camp Reynolds, beaches, and other historical points of interest.   The campsite is 4 miles away from Ayala Cove along the Perimeter Road.  After we set up camp in the afternoon, we can visit the neighboring beach or hike a 4-mile round trip to the top of Mt. Livermore (735 feet elevation), looking at flowers along the way.  The evening will end while we enjoy dinner and a dessert potluck with the sun setting in the background over the Golden Gate Bridge.  The trip ends at 10 am on Monday, when the first ferry arrives, or you can spend more time on the island and take a later ferry home.
