Loop from Glacier Point to Illilouette Valley and the south area of Yosemite National Park, The hike continues around Mt. Starr King, multiple passes including either Merced and Fernandez or Red Peak Pass.  We will stop or pass by several lakes including Rutherford,  Washburn and Merced Lakes.  Enjoy breathtaking views of alpine meadows, lush forests, and towering peaks along this route.  We will be making our last camp at Little Yosemite Valley before returning to Glacier Point.  This is a challenging 60+ mile trip over 7 days.

Clark Range Loop

Most days will be ~10 miles with one day almost 12 miles.  Elevation gain and loss will be as much as + 2500' and -1700' respectively.  This is not a trip for inexperienced hikers but rather for those with several multi-day trip in their very recent past.  You will start carrying 7 day supply of food.  You will want to your pack to be as a light as possible while keeping yourself safe, warm and dry in the early season.  We will weigh your pack before departing.  Plan to carry no more than 20% of your body weight.

Mount Starr King
