We need your help to stand up against a new threat to our local democratic process. The Deschutes County Commission has rushed a redistricting process that lacked public input and transparency, leading to a proposed new map that could undermine our local democracy.
Please join us next week to make your voice heard at the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners public hearing in Bend, scheduled for 6 PM on January 20th. We want to fill the room to demonstrate our collective opposition to the proposed districting map for our county and to fight for our democratic future here in Deschutes County.
You can learn more about the issue and our opposition in the Deschutes Defend Democracy Coalition’s statement.
🚗 Don’t live in Bend? It is important that your voice is heard, too!
All of Deschutes County's residents deserve to have their voices heard. With other grassroots organizers, we are coordinating carpooling. If you are interested in a ride, let us know, and we will connect you to others interested in riding together.
Please be sure to sign up so we know how many people to expect and can communicate any updates with you.
Thank you for showing up for our community! See you at the hearing on January 20, 2026!
