The worsening climate crisis threatens the safety all Oregonians deserve: health, wellness, and protection from ever-worsening extreme weather such as wildfires, extreme heat, persistent drought, toxic air, and more.
The Climate Resilience Superfund Bill will require out-of-state fossil fuel companies to pay their fair share for past damages from climate changing emissions. The funds raised will be dedicated to making Oregon more resilient to wildfires and to the frontline communities most exposed to climate damages. That means polluters paying - instead of you and me - for benefits like wildfire home hardening, AC units for low-income Oregonians, energy-grid resilience, and lots more.
Everyone has been impacted by climate change, so everyone has a story to tell. Will you join us in Salem on February 16 and share yours?
