Snap and the Sierra Club of NE Florida invite you to join us for our third annual Sierra Symposium on February 28, 2026.

This year, we have refreshed our format for the Symposium.  Our theme is "Get to Know the Sierra Club".  Our featured entertainment is Skin And Bonz, a fast-paced, entertaining program of traditional music and dance. Their music is a cross between old-time string band and bluegrass.  In between their sets, we have two guest speakers this year.  Susannah Randolph, Director, Florida Chapter of the Sierra Club will discuss the advocacy role of the Sierra Club of Florida and what we are doing at the state level to further environmental issues during these challenging times.  Our second speaker is Susannah Sapp, a Senior Campaign Advisor based in Northeast Florida with the Beyond Coal Campaign.  She'll discuss the JEA coal plant and the broader questions it raises about climate responsibility, public accountability, and the future of energy in our community.

We're have information tables from all of our Committees:  Legislative & Political, Conservation, Planting With A Purpose, and, of course Jeff and our SCNEF table.  Other groups such as Lights Out for Birds, the Plantetary Diet, the National Park Foundation, and UNF will join us. We've invited vendors involved in composting and solar energy to join us as well.  We'll have kid's activities and refreshments available.  As the Symposium concludes, we invite you to join us on one of our walks around the Tree Hill campus--we're planning at least two different ones. It's going to be a morning packed with fun and information and we want you to be there.  Let us know you're coming.
