Join our outings program as a certified outings leader for Sierra Club's Hoosier Chapter. As a part of our Summer Outings Leadership Training Cohort you will: 

• learn how we work together to prioritize the well being of outings and hike participants,
• be eligible to participate in first aid training (if not already certified) as a group prior to planning a qualifying hike,
• understand how to utilize Sierra Club resources to promote and recruit participants for your outings, 
• and make new friends across the state of Indiana!

This learning space will include eight, one hour long, training modules that we will set the pace for during our first orientation session. We will host discussion groups on a regular basis to share and learn from each other as we go through the outings training modules. And we will pair you with existing outings leaders to plan a certifying hike in the Fall hiking season.  

And throughout the course you'll have an opportunity to meet our current outings leaders and of course you can let us know how we can support you in your learning and certification journey!
