Join us for backcountry skiing trip in Mammoth from March 28 - 31, 2026. The trip includes two full days of backcountry skiing, one day exploring terrain around the Main Lodge and the other day near the Tamarack region. Participants will get a chance to practice avalanche awareness, route selection, and terrain evaluation in real backcountry conditions. This trip is designed for skiers with basic skiing skills who are ready to explore ungroomed terrain.
Each participant is responsible for renting their own backcountry equipment, including skis, boots, and skins. Mammoth Mountaineering Supply rents skis, boots, and skins for $75/day.
We will be staying in a condo, which will serve as a convenient base for our outings. The shared cost for the condo is $280.89 per person.
The outings are day trips. Our goal is to combine safe skiing, skill-building, and camaraderie in the mountains. Contact leader to ensure your spot.
