Join us to take action on PFAS in MA! We will start the hour orienting everyone to the PFAS problem generally and specific ways to improve the problem in MA. Let's take action on
H.4870/
S.1504 An Act to Protect Massachusetts Public Health from PFAS and advocate to pass municipal resolutions for
PFAS-free purchasing/procurement.
What are PFAS? Pre- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of thousands of dangerous synthetic chemicals used in the manufacturing of many common products and packaging.
Sierra Club Massachusetts is a part of the
Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow coalition, which focuses on reducing toxic chemicals in consumer products. Educating and engaging MA residents in the fight for a safer tomorrow. Professor Lindsay Tallon from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is one of the coalition members who will join us to speak about the health impacts of PFAS. Professor Tallon is one of the researchers collaborating on the
PFAS Project Lab.
