Description:
Besides being one of the best wildflower destinations in the Bay Area, Santa Teresa County Park’s trails offer beautiful views of Almaden and Coyote Valleys.  Our figure-8 route will include a moderate climb to Coyote Peak and a descent on Rocky Ridge trail with sweeping views of the bay, rolling green hills and abundant of wildflowers. After lunch, we will take Fortini trail then climb up on Stile Ranch trail, known for its whole hill of California poppies, to return to our starting point.

We will hike at a moderate pace and will stop for flowers and views. Poles and sturdy boots/shoes are especially helpful as Rocky Ridge and some parts of Stile Ranch are very rocky.

We practice "leave no trace" and carry out everything we carry in.

Adverse weather or trail conditions may shorten or cancel the hike.

Cold drinks and light snacks after the hike (optional).

Wear/bring: at least 1L water, lunch and something to sit on, sun protection, sturdy shoes/boots, layered clothing, poles if you use them.

Bathrooms: Flush toilets at the beginning and the end.
