What is No Kings about?

Our rights are being taken in front of our very eyes – and in this moment, our silence becomes permission. Freedoms were never handed to us — they were fought for, and won. For generations, our country’s communities have battled to secure fundamental freedom and dignity for all of us, and now President Trump is targeting, terrorizing, and destabilizing them.

We refuse to allow him to rule like a dictator when we, the people, hold the true power.

On March 28, residents of Olympia and surrounding areas will join millions across the country to say loud and clear: No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. Make sure to bring your friends and family to empower each other.

Our messages:

  • We stand together in solidarity,
  • Everybody can take some kind of action, and
  • This is hard—we need to make sure and take care of ourselves and each other

An RSVP is not necessary, but if you’d like to do so, do it here: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/905445/

Let’s make our movement impossible to ignore.

Code of Conduct

A core principle behind all No Kings and 50501 events is a commitment to nonviolent action. In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever that we protest together peacefully. We expect all participants to commit to nonviolence in all aspects of our interactions and to act lawfully at this event. We also request that participants strive for unmistakably non-violent protest imagery: we discourage depictions of fire, guns, etcetera. We must center safety while maintaining message clarity.
