This hike is 2.5 total miles and includes an optional rock scramble to reach the wide open views in the picture. Participation is limited to ten. The trail will be rocky and possibly muddy in places, so sturdy hiking shoes and trekking poles are strongly suggested. 
Level: Moderate
Cost: There is no cost to participate in the hike, but there is a $30 per vehicle fee to enter Shenandoah National Park.
Signup Instructions: Each participant should sign up individually through Campfire and complete the online waiver form. Thank you!
Bring: water, food, sun protection, etc.
Signup Restrictions: All participants must sign a Sierra Club waiver to participate. Pets are NOT ALLOWED on this outing. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Additional Directions: We will meet at the trailhead parking lot for Turk Mountain at 10am on April 19. Parking is located across the park road from the trailhead.
Carpool: If you would like to carpool from Harrisonburg, meet at the Friendly City Food Co-op at 8:30am.
Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
