Dr. Natalia Quinete is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Environment, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida International University (FIU). Her research focuses on assessing and understanding the sources, distribution, and fate of persistent emerging contaminants, such as PFAS, in different environmental and biological compartments and their potential impacts on humans and animals. More specifically, Dr. Quinete has been working on the development of methods for the identification and prioritization of contaminants of concern in the environment. She has been leading interdisciplinary, collaborative research spanning engineering, biology, psychology, environmental sciences, public health, and medicine.
