Ogden is one of 19 Utah communities with the opportunity to join the Utah Renewable Communities program, a program that would let residents opt in to affordable clean energy at a flat monthly rate. But it only happens if the City Council passes an adoption ordinance before the
June 2 deadline.
That's where you come in.
We're asking supporters to attend this City Council meeting and deliver a brief, friendly, but passionate public comment in support of the program. You don't need to be an expert. You just need to show up and share why clean energy matters to you, your family, or your community.
When you sign up, we'll send you our action toolkit, which includes talking points, sample public comments, and tips for making your voice heard at a council meeting. We'll also be in touch leading up to the meeting if we have any updates and so that we can coordinate and make sure our community shows up strong. We'll certainly notify you if we learn that the Utah Renewable Communities program adoption will be discussed at this meeting
Whether you've spoken at a public meeting before or this is your first time, you're welcome here. Every voice counts, and the more residents who show up, the clearer the message will be.
