Join us for a town hall to bring awareness to the proposed repeal of the roadless rule and the negative impacts that would have on Lake Tahoe's environment, lake clarity, the local economy, and recreation. The roadless rule is a US forest service rule that designates certain areas of forest service land as roadless, meaning roads cannot be built in these areas. These areas are some of the most pristine wilderness that still exists, providing valuable habitat to many native flora and fauna. This administration is attempting to repeal this rule and open up these lands to extractive industries. Join us on 5/13 at 5:30 pm at Lake Tahoe Community College in the Board/ Aspen room for a town hall to learn more about this issue from a variety of stakeholders, and learn how you can have a part in protecting these incredible public lands.
