Join us on an overnight trip to SoCal's 2nd highest peak! First day is a strenuous hike to Little Round Valley campground (3.95mi, 3300' gain) where we will set up camp. The next day we will set off on a cross-country peak-bagging adventure that includes San Jacinto Peak (10,834').

Join us on an overnight trip to SoCal's 2nd highest peak!

First day is a strenuous hike to Little Round Valley campground (3.95mi, 3300' gain) where we will set up camp. The next day we will set off on a cross-country peak-bagging adventure that includes San Jacinto Peak (10,834').

Total mileage appx 12.5mi, 5125' elevation gain. You should be in strong physical condition to participate. Register online then email your hiking resume to the leader. Please note, registration does not guarantee participation. Limited permits exist-- a waiting list will be made as needed. Priority given to WTC students requiring an experience trip.

Level: Strenuous (I-rated)

Cost: $5/person permit cost

Signup Instructions: Complete the online registration, liability waiver, and medical form. Then email your hiking resume to the leader. If you have WTC training, please note when, what area and group, and the Group Leader's name. Acceptance on this trip is pending leader review.

Recommended Items: 10 Essentials; first aid kit, good shoes, backpack gear, and regular prescription medications. The leader will provide a list of additional items if necessary.

Signup Restrictions: If you have signs or symptoms of a communicable disease immediately prior to the start of the Outing, you should withdraw from the Outing. Participants are encouraged to be up-to-date and fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC; however, it is not required.

Carpool: The Sierra Club assumes no liability for carpools, ride sharing or anything similar, which are strictly personal arrangements among the drivers and participants.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.

Cancellation Policy: Participants will be notified as soon as possible if an outing is to be cancelled.
