If you love being outside—whether it’s hiking, exploring, or just vibing in nature—this is your chance to take it to the next level. Sierra Club Ohio is looking for a new wave of Outings Leaders: People who want to build community, create unforgettable outdoor experiences, and actually make a difference while doing it. If this is you, join us for Outings Leader Training!

Where: UC Field Center, 11053 Oxford Rd., Harrison Ohio 45030
(The Field Center is a preserved Shaker farm adjacent to Miami Whitewater Forest north of Cincinnati)


Agenda:
8:30 Arrival and Introductions (coffee and light snacks provided)
9:00 OLT - Outings Leader Training (Pre-work will be communicated before the class)
12:00 Lunch & stretch our legs (bring a sack lunch)
1:00 Basic First Aid / CPR (Health and Safety Institute Certification)
5:30 Wrap Up
~6:00 Optional Happy Hour at a local brewery


This is a full day (often taught over 2 days) so you must arrive on time and be ready to start! At the conclusion you will be qualified to plan your first Sierra Club outing as a co-leader.
