This is a moderate (2B), roughly 4.0 hour 6.0 mile hike with 1,000' elevation gain. Much of it will be on fire roads giving folks a chance to spread out and chat. On the way, we'll stop at Jewel Lake and then Wildcat Peak, with its panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge to the west and Mount Diablo to the east. We'll have lunch at the Rotary Peace Grove before hiking back to the trailhead.

Please note: This is not a Sierra Club-sponsored hike. Participants will be hiking at their own risk and will be required to sign a liability release form at trailhead.

Level: Moderate (2B)

Cost: Free

Signup Instructions: Signature of a liability waiver is required.

Recommended Items: Good shoes, two liters of water, lunch, trail snacks, and maybe something to share.

Carpool: Carpools are a health risk and completely at your discretion. The hike's leader does not recommend carpooling.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
