Evening Hike at Castlewood State Park
We will hike a combination of Lone Wolf trail and River Scene trail. Lone Wolf Trail (2 miles) will take us along Kiefer Creek with an eventual climb to the Bluffs over the Meramec River. We will finish on the Lone Wolf near our parking area. At this point, hikers may opt out of the next leg of this hike. Then we will hike a 1.75-mile portion of the River Scene trail that is in a peninsula area of the park. It is extremely flat.

The local Sierra Club has been very involved at Castlewood State Park for several years. On this hike, you will be able to see some of the work that we have done over the years to help keep this park healthy and safe for visitors. Castlewood State Park has a high visitation volume. Hiking on a weekday evening generally ensures a quieter experience.
