Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Pass-a-Grille Beach
Address: 900 Pass A Grille Way, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706
Meeting Location: Please meet us on the beach near Paradise Grille. Our check-in table will be situated to the left of Paradise Grille at approximately this pined location.
When you arrive, please check in at our event table, where volunteers can sign in, complete the required liability waivers, and pick up supplies. We will have cleanup materials available, including gloves, safety vests, trash bags, pickers, a first aid kit, bug spray, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, a water cooler, and a scale to weigh the trash collected.
In addition to helping with the cleanup, volunteers will have the opportunity to help engage and educate beachgoers and passersby with campaign materials related to protecting the critically endangered Rice’s whale and opposing expanded offshore drilling. We will also have our Gulf Whale beach banner onsite to help draw attention to our volunteer efforts and serve as a conversation starter with folks walking by.
Sunset Social & Beach Cleanup--Save Our Shores & Gulf Whale!

Join fellow conservationists, beach lovers, and community members for a Sunset Cleanup & Chill at Pass-a-Grille Beach in St. Pete Beach.
Sierra Club Florida and St. Pete Eco Club are partnering with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for an evening of shoreline stewardship, community building, and environmental action. Together, we'll help remove litter from the beach, connect with like-minded people, and raise awareness about efforts to protect the Gulf Coast from offshore drilling and safeguard endangered species like the Rice's whale.
Cleanup supplies and equipment will be provided. Afterward, stick around to enjoy the sunset, meet new friends, and celebrate a cleaner coastline. Feel free to bring a chair, blanket, or towel if you'd like to relax on the beach after the cleanup.
Street parking is available along Gulf Way, though carpooling is encouraged whenever possible.

This event is part of Sierra Club Florida's Save Our Shores campaign, which works to protect the Gulf of Mexico's coastal communities, wildlife, and waters from the impacts of offshore drilling. The campaign also highlights the plight of the Rice's whale—the Gulf's only year-round resident whale and one of the rarest whales on Earth. Found nowhere else in the world, as few as 50 Rice's whales are believed to remain in the wild.
By participating, you'll help build community, support the protection of endangered species, and stand up for healthy beaches, clean water, and a thriving Gulf Coast.
Come lend a hand, meet fellow eco-minded locals, and enjoy an evening making a positive difference for our environment.
