These days it seems there is a new attack on our public lands almost every day. In a new book, THE ENDURING WILD: A Journey into Californias Public Lands by Josh Jackson, we can take a breath for a moment and savor the beauty of BLM lands through Joshs experiences. He writes about the Mojave, Carrizo Plain, Berryessa, Eastern Sierra, and many other places that we know and love. His GUIDE FOR EXPLORATION chapter suggests ways to explore these less-traveled outdoor gems. He also writes lyrically about how so many people of our country use and need these lands, and why we must be vigilant to protect this precious heritage. Josh will be personally present at the Encino Women's Club, and we will also be ZOOMing his presentation.
