Cool Morning hike at the Gold Branch unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation area. Our route will be a relatively smooth-trail route (with hills) through Gold Branch unit including the most scenic sections of Gold Branch avoiding some rocky/rooty sections. We will hike approx 4 miles at a moderate pace with rest stops totaling approx. 2.5 hours. Bring c/c on-line parking or Fed parking pass. Dogs allowed but in accordance with park rules, they must be on a leash at all times. Park entrance is easy to pass so slow down when approaching the entrance on Lower Roswell Road.
