Sierra Club picnic at Turkey Swamp Park (Monmouth Co.) Register

On August 16, at 11:30AM, Sierra Club invites you and family to attend a summer picnic at Monmouth County’s beautiful Turkey Swamp Park, 200 Georgia Road, Freehold, NJ. 

Sierra Club Shore Group leaders will hold their short monthly meeting.  Each leader will describe their exciting important activities;  you are invited to attend  and encouraged to ask any question or offer to help us to engage in YOUR  important areas.   

Please bring your own food and beverages and/or food to share if you wish.  Also bring folding chairs.

Turkey Swamp Park, 2400 acres, is the largest Monmouth County park and contains a 17 acre lake.  Canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and paddleboats are available for rental.  (Fish from shore or boat; a fishing license is required for people age 16 to 69.). Turkey Swamp has seven trails (totaling more than 9 miles) which you can hike at your leisure.    We will have multiple copies of the Turkey Swamp trails map for those interested in personal walks.
