The Tennessee Chapter’s Fall Retreat will be held at beautiful Fall Creek Falls State Park!
Enjoy the company of other nature lovers for hikes, great food, and camaraderie. As always, the retreat will be a special time that truly reflects the Sierra Club mission to Explore, Enjoy, and Protect! Let's all do our best to make this a Zero Waste and Plastic Free Event.
OUTINGS: Hikes are being finalized for Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.
SATURDAY EVENING PROGRAM:
- Decline and conservation of freshwater mussels in Tennessee by Dana Mills, Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Tennessee
- Environmental updates by Tennessee Chapter Director Pat Cupples
SILENT AUCTION: Please bring a good item or two you can part with. Proceeds go to support our Chapter's work. Also, remember to bring some cash so that you can take home a treasure or two.
HEALTH PROTOCOL: If you are sick the week of the retreat, do not attend. If you have any Covid symptoms, including an elevated temperature, test, and stay home if the test is positive. Covid tests will be available at the retreat also. Fall Creek Falls is infamous for its abundance of ticks and chiggers, so bring insect repellent and/or insect-resistant clothing.
