Thomes Creek Gorge Day HikeA scenic trek through open country ceanothus, chaparral and foothill pines to a spectacular view of Thomes Creek Gorge just before it opens onto the Valley. A strenuous out and back route of 6.5 miles from the Mud Flat Rd. trail head. Possible wet Bowers Creek crossing. Not many wildflowers this time of year but still will be interesting.
