Join us to hear about the expansion of fracked-gas infrastructure threatening to increase Cape Cod's reliance on expensive and polluting fuels and how you can get involved in the regional decision making processes.
In order to begin construction of new Sagamore and Bourne bridges, the methane gas pipeline attached to the bridges must be relocated. Unfortunately, instead of just relocating the pipeline, AGT (the company that owns the pipeline) is attempting to increase the capacity of the pipeline, bypassing comprehensive environmental reviews. The Cape Cod Commission will begin reviewing this proposed project as a Development of Regional Impact in September, where residents will be able to participate in hearings and submit public comment.
You'll leave this community meeting with a better understanding of the proposed pipeline expansion project, how to submit public comment, and the next steps in building our movement to prevent more fracked gas from flowing onto the Cape.
