4.5-mile, moderately easy hike on flat trail.
Enjoy the fall foliage and see some raptors on this hike. The trail winds through lush forests and open meadows along with the remnants of a 19th-century farming community, including historic structures and Wortman Pond. At 5:30 p.m. the Secret Garden of Bees and Birds will have a presentation with raptors.
Level: Moderate
Cost: Entry to the State Park is $10/car. Hike is free, but donations welcome

Recommended Items: There is $10 entry fee per car for VA State Parks, or you can use your VA State Park Pass. Bring plenty of water and a snack. Dress in layers and shoes appropriate for weather conditions.
