Detailed Description:
Give back to a local favorite! We will work under the direction of park staff on priority needs, which may include trail maintenance, invasive species removal, or trash cleanup. Specific tasks will be shared with registered participants 1–2 days prior to the event if confirmed in advance by park staff.

Difficulty:  Generally moderate physical effort. However, tasks may range from light to strenuous based on individual ability and project scope. Work may involve walking on or off-trail (up to several miles), lifting, bending, and squatting. Additional physical stress may occur in the form of hot, cold, or wet weather conditions.

Cancellation:  Registered participants will be notified by email 1–2 days in advance (or as early as possible in the event of sudden severe weather) if the trip is canceled due to extreme weather or low enrollment.

Equipment & Attire:

• Please dress appropriately for the weather, being aware that while working we will not have easy access to our cars.
• Required: Closed-toed footwear and personal water.
• Recommended: Work gloves (if you have them) and personal snacks.
• Note: Other tools and safety gear will be provided by the park staff.

Registration & Waivers:
 

1. Sign a Sierra Club Liability waiver.  Can be signed electronically online or via paper form onsite.
2. Please register and sign the waiver for this outing online at Sign-up under Outings on the EMG website by Thursday, September 3, at 5:00 PM. Walk-ups are welcome.
3. Being a Back Country outing, all hikers must complete a Sierra Club Local Medical Form and bring it to the trailhead. The leader will collect and carry the forms, returning them at the end of the day.
4. Sierra Club membership is encouraged but not required for participation.
    

• Restrooms and Potable Water: Available onsite.
• Group Size Limit: 10 participants maximum.
• Restrictions: No pets; firearms/weapons are strictly prohibited.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
