Join us in Portland on Wednesday, September 9 from 4:15–6:30 PM for an important public hearing on the Draft 9th Power Plan.

The Northwest Power and Conservation Council is considering the draft plan, which will help shape the region’s energy future. Public testimony is one of the most meaningful ways members of the public can influence the plan before it is finalized. Showing up in person is an important opportunity to make our voices heard and urge the Council to prioritize a clean, reliable, and responsible energy future for our region.

Early Arrival
The official start of the hearing is 4:30 PM. The RSVP form also has a meet up time of 4:15 PM which will allow us to all meet in the building’s lobby, travel up to the office together and hopefully get on the testimony sign-in sheet first.

Carpool from Vancouver
We’ll be organizing a group carpool from Vancouver to make it easier for folks to attend together. We’ll meet at The Academy, 400 E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98660, at 3:30 PM and carpool from there to the hearing.
There is plenty of parking available at the nearby Vancouver library.
Whether you plan to testify or simply want to show your support, we hope you’ll join us and help make sure our voices are heard.

Virtual Testimony Prep
We'll also be hosting a Virtual Testimony Prep the evening before, September 8th, at 5:30 PM.
During this session, we’ll provide an overview of the 9th Power Plan, discuss the key issues we’re advocating around, and walk through how to prepare and deliver effective public testimony. Whether you’ve testified before or this is your first time, this session will help you feel prepared and confident to make your voice heard.
