Join us for an early morning, social paced hike at Kwaay Paay in Mission Trails Regional Park! This is a challenging 2.4-mile out and back hike with 882 feet of elevation gain and should take about 2-3 hours to complete. It offers an intense workout with a rewarding panoramic view at the peak. The trail is rocky and steep, so please wear supporting hiking shoes. Trekking poles are recommended, but optional. Even with the early start, it will likely get quite warm, so bring a minimum of 2 liters of water and protective gear such as sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
We will briefly discuss the history of the Kumeyaay nation who occupied this region for thousands of years.
After registering, a trip leader will reach out to review trip expectations, answer questions, and ensure this hike fits your outdoor goals and experience level.
