We will hike about 5 miles of this 21-mile trail.  Meet at the Falls of Hills Creek Parking lot.  We will then set up a shuttle to Forest Road 223 trailhead, and hike (mostly downhill) back to Falls of Hills Creek.  This is one of the Roadless Areas threatened by development.  Learn about endangered species, water quality, and mining impacts to the Monongahela National Forest and the Cherry River.

Level: Moderate

Cost: None (Donations accepted).

Signup Instructions: Register here and e-sign the required liability waiver form.

Recommended Items: Camera, rain gear (if needed), lunch water, good hiking boots. A change opf dry clothes may make the return trip more comfortable.

Additional Directions: Meet at the Falls of Hills Creek parking lot at 10 AM. This is located on WV route 39/55 (Highlands Scenic Highway), about 5 miles west of the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center, or 17 miles east of Richwood, WV.

Carpool: We will carpool to the hike start.

Note: Carpool transportation is at the sole risk of the participants.
