Join us on Wednesday, October 21st, at 6:30 PM at the Volunteer Brewing Company for our 6th Annual Environmental Champion Awards Ceremony to celebrate our data center wins with our champions and friends.
This annual Sierra Club Delaware Chapter event is to recognize the commitment of individuals who have and will continue to advance environmental work in Delaware. This year we are paying particular attention to those who have helped us secure meaningful victories to protect communities and Delaware from data center impacts. We will also be recognizing two volunteers for their tremendous work and dedication to the Sierra Club more broadly.
This year, we will be honoring the following individuals for their work on data center policies in Delaware:
Community Advocate: Dale Swain, RADAR and Citizens Alliance for Responsible Land Use
Government Official: Jameson Tweedie, Public Advocate
State Legislator: Rep. Frank Burns
New Castle County Councilperson: Councilman Dave Carter
We will also be honoring two volunteers as well that do tremendous work for the Chapter:
Long-time advocate: Debbie Heaton
Newcomer to the Chapter: Tyler Gerry
This awards ceremony will feature food, refreshments, and good company. The bar is available for purchases as well, but those will not be covered by the ticket cost.
The attire will be casual.
Funds raised beyond the cost of the event will be put to work in Delaware working on the next round of data center legislation and advocacy!!
