Description: Join us on a hike in Quicksilver County Park.  This hike is about 70% shaded.  We will start on New Almaden Trail, then take Randol Trail West.  We will take a lunch break at the junction of Randol and Mine Hill trails.  After lunch, we will go south on Mine Hill Trail toward Catherine Tunnel and Bull Run area.  We will continue on Mine Hill Trail and take Hacienda Trail back to the parking lot.

On this hike, we will go through oak woodland, chaparral and grassland.  We will have views of Mt Umunhum and Guadalupe Reservoir, and  glimpses of the Diablo range and Mt Hamilton.

We will hike at a moderate pace, with stops to enjoy the surroundings.

Adverse weather or trail conditions may shorten or cancel the hike. We practice "leave no trace" and carry out everything we carry in.
