Fort Clinch Candlelight TourUser-added image
Step back in time as darkness falls over one of the best-preserved 19th-century forts in the country. Join us for an after-hours exploration of Fort Clinch, guided only by flickering candlelight and lantern glow, with no electric lights allowed. Built in 1847 to guard the St. Mary's River, these brick walls have stood watch for over a century, and at night they feel truly alive with history. Our guide will lead us through the fort's shadowy corridors and onto the ramparts, sharing the same views soldiers once had from their posts. It's a rare chance to experience the fort exactly as it was meant to be seen. Bring your sense of adventure!

The tour lasts between 45 minutes and an hour and begins approximately 30 minutes after sundown. There is NO entrance fee to attend.

Please note it will be genuinely dark underfoot, so this tour may not be ideal for those unsteady on their feet.

No pets (service dogs OK). OK for older kids who can keep up with adults. Cameras are not permitted on the candlelight tour.
