Join us at North Lauderdale's Hampton Pines Park (7800 Hampton Blvd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068) for a DIY Day just in time for the holidays! We will be in Shelter #1 which is fairly close to the park entrance from 10 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m. Parking is free.
- We will have two (2) projects. The first, we will repurpose old t-shirts into braided pet toys suitable for dogs or cats. (Best for small to medium size dogs). The second, we will upcycle paper towel tubes into holiday table centerpieces.
- Thanks to a generous donation of used t-shirts you do not have to bring any of your own for the pet toy project unless you prefer that. Please bring scissors suitable for cutting fabric.
- For the holiday centerpiece project, please bring paper towel tubes and glue. Ribbon will be available.
- Optional activities after the DIY include having lunch (BYOL) and walking the path around the park. Canoes, kayaks, and bicycles can be rented for a fee if you are interested.
